Grove (2023)

Unpacking humankind’s alignment with the natural world and our misguided belief in our dominance over it, Grove featured professional company dancers/collaborators Katie Dean, Kelsey Kramer, Junie Marsh, and Ammara Shafqat; Youth Apprentices Anaïs Dallett and Z’Yanah Gonzalez; lighting design by Severn Clay-Youman; and original live music by Hans Bilger.

Shannon Hummel/Cora Dance premiered Grove in The Underground of the Historic Masonic Theatre and Amphitheatre in Clifton Forge, VA in April 2024.
